I am now a Craig Ferguson fan. A lot of people on TV spout off shit about "causes" they support for whatever reason, and I can't stand them. I usually hate network TV shows because of how strained and self-promoting they are. But this segment started out as an apology and turned into a really good message for people. Comedians that can be funny while laying it all out, being real, and making you think (Bill Hicks and George Carlin at their best) are amazing. Props to you, Craig.

I can so relate. I've been trying to quit drinking for twelve years now. I don't doubt that alcohol saved my life. If it weren't for alcohol--which, I stress, no longer works--I would have bought a gun years ago.
  14. GRISANDOLE Says:
I can so relate. It took me twelve years to get sober, and alcohol did save my life. If I hadn't been drinking, I would have bought a gun a long time ago.
  15. Pahana Says:
    he's funny
  16. Giada Says:
Seen this a few times. Still gives me chills when he talks about killing himself. Craig still makes fun of people for laughs and it still bothers him. (I'd bet money on it) And he targets everybody. I love C.F. I really get the feeling though that he wants to do something else, but stay in comedy. Something about compromising his integrity, is an ongoing issue w/him. Dichotomy. Am I wrong?
  17. Bromleah Says:

I love that Craig is one of the few celebs stating the truth about addiction. In that it's a chronic disease that must be managed for the rest of the person's life. So many people think that they can do their 12 steps or their 28 days in rehab and they are "cured", when that clearly isn't the case. Craig knows and admits many times that even after fifteen years of sobriety, he is still an addict. Good on him for actually telling the truth. Hopefully more people will start to listen.
  24. Braw)eigh Says:
Gifted and hilarious yet humble, unpretentious and sincere. This man is a genuine rarity in the entertainment business.
  25. ORLEGE Says:
craig IS a good guy. this wasn't about not making fun of her, it was about not kicking someone when they're down and literally can't do anything to fight back. britney's position was a hell of a lot different than bush's. especially because bush is the PRESIDENT and has more power than britney will EVER have at her whim. craig will make fun of anyone, but not when they obviously have such issues and are actually trying to get better.
