January 8th, 2009 at 02:19:17 This has to be one of the most AMAZING & ORIGINAL clips on YouTube... Thank you for sharing this INCREDIBLE clip... Very Professional... [Pilot should get a "COMMENDATION" from THOMSONS]. IN TOTAL COMMAND...
January 8th, 2009 at 02:42:16 Loved the calmness of the pilot, good job by him and the airport traffic control department
January 8th, 2009 at 03:05:15 i was flying to usa that day from manchester airport on delta, glad it wasnt that plane ha
January 8th, 2009 at 03:28:14 maybe the remedy for bird strike is to have air ported from above on take off then only from front at good altitude?
January 8th, 2009 at 03:51:13 That is an amazing video. Well done to crew and ATC.
January 8th, 2009 at 04:14:12 i find you hard to understand
January 8th, 2009 at 04:37:11 I couldn't understand the one of the pilots. He had a heavy accent.

January 8th, 2009 at 06:55:05 I would bloody be pissing myself if I saw the engine spitting out flames like that.
January 8th, 2009 at 07:18:04 you tell him s3lcal pilots are trained to be calm under pressure im sure.
January 8th, 2009 at 07:41:03 Poor bird!
January 8th, 2009 at 08:04:02 Correction '06 RIGHT' at MAN.
January 8th, 2009 at 08:27:01 Yes, That's when the training comes in. Excellent Radio Transmission, Handling & full recovery to Wallasey for a return to 06L. BYAI.
January 8th, 2009 at 08:50:00 Great video and soundtrack and superlative airmanship and ATC. I flew on a Britannia Airways flight in the early 90's which had a compressor stall on take off resulting in repeated banging and flames from the engine. May have been a bird strike or another cause - I dont't know. After levelling off and the pilot announced what had happened over the intercom, and that it was the first time it had happened in his career but something they train for in the simulators :-)
January 8th, 2009 at 09:12:59 Maybe because it happened at EGCC but I understand your point, it is amazing to be able to hear the pilots being so calm and this standard is maintained throughout the world mostly due to the CAA.
January 8th, 2009 at 09:35:58 very professional and very well recoreded !
January 8th, 2009 at 09:58:57 Lol ministryod10 that would be "grammar" not "grammEr" your spelling sucks.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:21:56 dang birds cause disaters :|
January 8th, 2009 at 10:44:55 Man your grammer is horrible!
January 8th, 2009 at 11:07:54 Wallasey is not an airport, it's a navigation beacon which in this case is used as a position to hold (circle) until ready to land. ATC offered Liverpool airport as an alternative.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:30:53 I do wonder what this has to do with British? Do you actually think that only British people work like this? I'm a Dutch pilot and have worked in many places in Europe and Asia. This kind of work is not by any means limited to just British, thank you very much.
