Summit Valley/Oak Hills Brush Fire

Southern California Brush Fires. Television News Photography of a fire I covered which began in the Summit Valley area of the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15 and spread to Oak Hills, located between San Bernardino and Victorville. County, City, California Department of Forestry and US Forest Service response. Some of the largest flame lengths I have ever shot up close, it was HOT! Schuylkill county Brush Fire 4-19-08

This was just 1 or 4 brush fires today in Schuylkill County. 15:35 hrs. Schuykill County dispatched Butler Twp. along with unites from Ashland, Fountain Springs, Gordon, Heckscherville, DCNR (PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources) responded to a brush fire in the Gordon area of Schuylkill County. The fire was boarded on the East by Interstate 81 S. (mile marker 119 thru 124), High Ridge Road in village of Gordon and Malones Road and Turnpike Road in Fountain Spring to the North. At approx 17:24 hrs Schuylkill County dispatch contacted Columbia and Northumberland County for mutual aid assistance. Mount Carmel Engine 3 (Clover Hose), Atlas Engine 21, Locust Gap E23 responded to the scene while Beaverdale Engine 22 scratched. Station 2 was also placed on standby. Also dispatched at this time were Case Town, Buck Run, Minersville, Shenandoah, Saint Clair, Mahanoy Plane, Mahanoy City, Shenandoah Heights, Ryan Twp, Wilburton Aristes, and Centralia. The responding unites along with unites were assigned to protect structures in the area (Homes). Hazelton aerial squadron also responded making numerous drops assisting ground crews in containing the fire. Chief Jason Kane of Fountain Springs and DCNR representatives handled incident command. At approx 21:30 incident command started releasing unites placing them back in service. Per topomatt17967 Ringtown crew dug a few hundred yards of line until 2 AM, and returned at 8 AM to mop it up. St. Clair and Tamaqua also had hand crews on scene.

Brush Fire - Franklin Twp. - 7/16/08

District 1 companies were dispatched up onto Rt. 287 between Exits 10 & 12 for the reported brush fire in the median. Upon arrival crews found an area approx. 100x50 burning. Engine 26-3 took upon the task of extinguishment.

Brush fire extinguished by Super-Scooper

A somewhat small brush fire in Rancho Palos Verdes was quickly extinguished by 1 water drop from a super-scooper airplane. This occured sometime in October during a dry spell. Footage by SKyfox edited by me.

FWB Brush Fire - Part 1

This is Part One of the brush fire that burned uncontrollably for a few hours earlier today, May 8th 2007. Early reports say that 30 acres were burned between FIM Blvd, Willowbend Blvd and Beal Extension. ***UPDATE: It was 48 acres of forest. No, it wasn't a plane crash. The fire dept is still investigating the cause of the fire. Thanks again for watching, and THANK YOU to all the fire & police & emergency personnel for your help during this wildfire!
