Black Orc Career Summary

Destruction/Greenskins/Blackorc.crr Career Counterpart: Swordmaster The Black Orc The Black Orcs appearance hides few secrets. A strong-armed brute, capable of taking a beating before going down, the black orc is both powerful and impressive, making him a great asset to any WAAAGH! On the battlefield, the black orc needs to decide what it wishes to do before combat begins. As all equipment changes are locked in combat (including weapons/shields) you need to be aware of your situation, and how best to approach any given combat. With a big two handed axe, the black orc can trade blows well with most classes. With a one hand weapon and a shield, the black orc can take just about as much punishment as he likes. They are generally considered tanks, but I promise if you gear and spec correctly you can do amazing damage. I have seen black orcs top meters time and time again in scenarios, and pummel anything before them into the ground in open field RvR. The black orc is surprisingly fun to play, as a melee class that can last long enough to at least take somebody with him in most situations, the black orcs mix of survivability and damage is great. The Plan mechanic, which controls the abilities the black orc can use is both interesting to get used to, and makes for an interesting level of finesse to playing the class. You have basic abilities, which you can use at any time, which increase to "Da Better Plan" (stage 2), opening up all stage 2 abilities for use. At this point you can use both stage 1, and stage 2 abilities. Once you use stage 2 abilities, you will advance to stage 3, Da Best Plan that are powerful, often action point free abilities. Stage 1 abilities may be used in any stage, but stage 2 abilities, and stage 3 abilities can only be used in their respective stages. Using a stage 1 ability in stage 3 will automatically reset the sequence, bringing you back to stage 2. In PvE, the black orc does good damage, or, can fill the tank role quite well. When in a group with another tank, the black orc can swap out to a two-hand weapon and do damage, but not during combat, so make sure you know who is tanking before beginning. This is the second of three Greenskins summaries, Leveling and RvRing/PvEing on every single class in the game has been time consuming, and I'm not quite done, I will continue doing this, and am happy to explore careers further if people want to see more, but please bear with me, as there is still a lot more work to be done. Any suggestions, or whatever will be taken into consideration. Thanks for watching. Some stuff was fast-forwarded through; I try to keep the running bits to a minimum, without skipping around so you can see what is going on more continuously. This is all shot in the first area in the Empire vs. Chaos called "Nordland." And the scenario there, Nordenwatch, Ive been using the Chaos/Empire pairing, because it is far more active than the other pairings, making RvR easier to find, and thus leveling faster.
