Time for Some Campaignin'

In our first election satire since 2004's "This Land" and "Good to be in DC", we bid farewell to Bush and give Obama and Mccain a proper JibJab hazing! And, of course, who could forget about Hillary and Bill? This rip-roaring musical romp gives the election process the proper spanking it deserves!

rannndom improv jams - some hip hop & some funk/techno

My CD: http://www.ronaldjenkees.com/music-store These are really two songs in 1 but they evolved in the same FL Studio project (2 different days). That's how it goes sometimes - might have to make it into two different beats since they're so different. They keyboard I'm using here is the Yamaha Motif XS8, which is the weighted-key version of the XS series (I'm finding I'm not a fan of weighted keys for most stuff besides piano). More on that in another video where I'll play some stuff I'm sequencing purely on the board (very different and confusing to me). Thanks for watching/commenting/subscribing, folks!

Life in Tokyo 65 Some Fish Have All the Luck

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=s_vexY-7Vhs&fmt=18 Click for high quality. The link under the video has screwed up audio sync. All about the lottery and fishing in Tokyo. Kind of opposite topics, but originally I had intended these two concepts to overlap, until of course I discovered that fishing is not as luck based as it appears to be. The 2008 Lottery Prizes are 70 people will win 2 million dollars 140 people will win 1 million dollars I will win nothing More info: http://www.takarakujinet.com/ The fishing cost about 800 Yen per hour, and no you can't keep the fish. But they weigh them and you get a discount coupon depending on your haul. More info here: http://www.ichigaya-fc.com/

Scratch Input (Chris Harrison, Scott Hudson) - UIST '08

More info: http://chrisharrison.net/projects/scratchinput Scratch Input: Creating Large, Inexpensive, Unpowered and Mobile Finger Input Surfaces We present Scratch Input, an acoustic-based input technique that relies on the unique sound produced when a fingernail is dragged over the surface of a textured material, such as wood, fabric, or wall paint. We employ a simple sensor that can be easily coupled with existing surfaces, such as walls and tables, turning them into large, unpowered and ad hoc finger input surfaces. Our sensor is sufficiently small that it could be incorporated into a mobile device, allowing any suitable surface on which it rests to be appropriated as a gestural input surface. Several example applications were developed to demonstrate possible interactions. We conclude with a study that shows users can perform six Scratch Input gestures at about 90% accuracy with less than five minutes of training and on wide variety of surfaces.

Scientology Crazy Followers

Interesting video I came across of some wacko Scientologists harassing some camera guy (Mark Bunker) who disagrees with Scientology. They even tried to follow him home and they've picketed his actual home. More at http://www.xenutv.com Oh, and Enturbulation was made up by Scientology and is not part of the English Language. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enturbulation Also, if you're bored and want to discuss Scientology, go to http://www.uselessjunk.net and start a conversation about it. We frequently discuss Scientology and other religions in the General Discussion section and the Safe for Work / Political section. ;) Also, XenuTV and Mark Bunker are on Myspace.com. Check out his Myspace where he blogs about Scientology. http://www.myspace.com/xenutv Also check out http://www.enturbulation.org/

This is my favorite scene from the movie. This is the moment when Red finally stands up to the system and asserts his own terms of redemption.

Frost Nixon Interview Clip 2 of 6 - The Million Dollars In Cash Issue Frost/Nixon

http://www.frostnixon.com -€“ Frost Nixon Interviews -€“ Clip 2 -€“ Sir David Frost asking Nixon about The million dollars in cash issue, Keeping Hunt under control, Buying time, The Hunt problem needs to be handled, Mitchell can provide the money, Nixon gets angry & says "€œLet me stop you right there, you are doing something that I am not doing" "You are reading there, out of context, out of order, because I have read this, I know it better than you do, And I should know it better because I was there." When discussing the legacy of a failed presidency, nothing could be more relevant, engaging or important than the series of interviews that David Frost conducted with Richard Nixon in 1977. Following a three-year political silence, the series drew the largest ever TV news audience and granted the American people a tacit admission of guilt from the former president. With the Ron Howard film (adapted from the Tony Award® winning play) opening in theaters on December 5th, there will be unprecedented interest in the real thing. Frost/Nixon
